Welcome to Troop 757!

Troop 757 was founded in 1954 and is chartered by the Glenwood Lion's Club.

TROOP PHILOSOPHY: Scout Run – High Adventure

We are a Scout Run troop, employing the qualities and ideals found in the BSA program to build character, foster citizenship, develop leadership, and embrace the outdoors. As a scout run troop, the scouts learn through doing. As they advance, they take on more responsibility for running troop meetings, planning activities, and helping the younger scouts advance.

Troop 757 is a mid-sized troop with approximately 30 active scouts. The size of our troop allows us to be nimble in decision making, offer many leadership opportunities that are required for advancement, and more coaching from our adult leaders.  Our meeting location at Howard County Fairgrounds is easily accessed and provides great indoor and outdoor facilities.

We plan and participate in a full range of scouting activities throughout the year.  Beyond the weekly troop meetings where we work on scout skills, advancements, and just having fun, we have a number of weekend outings.  A sample of our outings include: Canoeing, White Water Rafting, Skiing, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Shooting, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Fishing, and Bicycling. In addition, our troop typically sends a crew every year to participate in a BSA high Adventure such as Sea Base, Philmont, and Northern Tier.
